Thimmappana Betta - A bit of adventure is all you need

As I uncover my eyes from underneath the covers, I heard the gentle tapping of raindrops against my bedroom window. I see a day, that I can enjoy the smell of the rain, the feel of the dampness on the grass. I see another day to seize and do all I can. Riding on the roads of Bengaluru, with water droplets showering on earth, we made it to the beautiful Twin Rock hill , Thimappana Betta

The ride was a great experience, as we crossed some villages, forest and a mountain cliff to reach to the top of Thimappana Betta. With my legs  on the foot pegs of the bike, holding the handle bar loose and trusting my bike was riding it to the extremes. Down the hill is the temple. Thimappa Swamy Temple - with main lord being Vishnu. The hill offers a panoramic view of Ramnagara and its agriculture lands. After riding on the rocks, now we rode to Kanva Reservoir.

Kanva Reservoir is an artificial lake, formed by the damming of the Kanva River in an irrigation project. They were some tourists from Bangalore, took a photo for them, and after that we had trespassed into the gate to see the dam. There was a police officer near to the dam, watching us from a distant and he called us, and enquired about us. Then after few minutes of friendly talks, he let us take photos of the reservoir. The police officer was on a tower, which gives a great view of the reservoir and the landscape was so beautiful, we could see the Thimappana Betta.

The police officer was kind enough, he told us a few places of interest to watch nearby and told to ride safely. Then later we had our lunch on the nearby hotel, and went to Rangaraya Doddi Lake. The lake is one of the biggest lakes in Ramnagaram with a hill on its one side. Beautiful view of sunset can be seen sitting on the hills in the glimpse of lake, enjoying the cool air on the top.

It started raining, we left the place with awesome experiences. The return journey was so good, riding bike in rain waters on the road and making my bike to eat dirt. Just a few miles to Bangalore, we ran out of fuel. Later we dropped into a fuel station to fill the fuel for the bike and for us too. Finally returned home, getting drenched ourselves in the rain and experiences.
